Kate Hudson is celebrating her birthday with a little bit of nostalgia.
The Glass Onion star, 45, shared a post to Instagram recapping her April 19 birthday celebrations. Sharing photos of the day she spent with her kids, friends and fiancé, the actress wrote that she had “a perfect day from start to finish ☀️✨.”
“Thank you for all the wishes yesterday for my birthday! I got all the fuzzy feels ❤️🙏,” she added on the April 20 post.
In the first photo, Hudson can be seen cuddling in bed with two of her kids, son Bingham “Bing” Hawn, 12 — whom she shares with her ex-fiancé, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy — and daughter Rani Rose, 5, whom she shares with her fiancé Danny Fujikawa.
In a video, Hudson showed off a framed portrait of her and Fujikawa embracing and smiling at each other, as incense burn on the table in front of the photo.
Another wide-shot photo showed the family relaxing in the park on some luscious green grass, and Hudson also took a video showing off a bright pink bouquet she received as a birthday gift.
In another video, the Glorious musician can be seen standing in front of a multi-colored cake with a single candle lit on top, as her family sings happy birthday to her.
She also pays tribute to one of her most iconic roles in the clip — as she blows out her candle, Hudson can be seen wearing a shirt that reads “Penny Lane told me to,” a reference to her role in the 2000 movie Almost Famous.
In the fan-favorite movie, Hudson plays Penny Lane, a groupie to the band Stillwater, led by Billy Crudup’s Russell Hammond as journalist William Miller — played by Patrick Fugit — covers the band’s journey for a Rolling Stone story in 1973.

For her role as the band groupie, Hudson won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Hudson also shared several photos of her night out for her birthday dinner, posing with Fujikawa and her friends at a big dinner party.
The actress has been candid about her love for Almost Famous over the years, even participating in a 2020 reunion to celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary.

“I was young, so young, but I had been reading scripts my whole life,” Hudson said during the reunion, recalling her audition for the film. “I read it and as a 19-year-old girl, roles like that really don’t come along very often, where you go ‘Please, I have to play this part.'”
Also for her 45th birthday, Hudson’s mom, Goldie Hawn, 78, shared an Instagram post of a sweet throwback image. In the photo, the mother and daughter are hugging in matching white tank tops and blue jeans.

“Happy birthday, my darling daughter @katehudson,” Hawn, 78, began in the caption. “Among all the things you have already accomplished in your life—amazing mother, great dancer, Academy Award-nominated actress, and now a fantastic singer—let us not forget you were the fastest runner in high school and all of LA!”
“SO KEEP ON RUNNING SWEETHEART. You’re a RACEHORSE. I love you ❤️ 🎉🎂🥳😘,” Hawn concluded.
Hudson thanked her mom in the comment section: “Haha! Mama you’re the best! Being fast is still my favorite accomplishment 😜 Catch me if you can!! 😆💃 Love you so much ❤️.”
