The weekly podcast, which premieres April 23, will feature guests including Tia Mowry, Cleo Wade and Tan France as well as Devlukia’s husband Jay Shetty
Radhi Devlukia is launching a new weekly wellness podcast, PEOPLE can exclusively announce.
Premiering Tuesday, April 23, A Really Good Cry will teach listeners how to “unlock their emotions and use them as tools to understand themselves better,” according to a news release. “I am so excited,” Devlukia tells PEOPLE.
Throughout the podcast, Devlukia will help listeners explore their emotions and equip them “with the knowledge and tools necessary to embark on their own journey towards emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental wellness.”
Tia Mowry, Cleo Wade and Tan France are among the first guests slated to appear on the podcast, which promises to teach listeners to “truly embrace the power of a really good cry.”
Devlukia says she wants the “female-focused” podcast to be a space where people can have “meaningful conversations” about shared experiences and learn from others. She also hopes the podcast can normalize crying as the human body’s way of releasing intense emotions.
“I remember when I was younger, [crying] was something which I would hide from my family because I always wanted to be the person who was laughing all the time and brought joy to people,” she explains. “And so I remember really suppressing my negative emotions.”
“For me, it’s been a process and a journey to embrace all the things that I cry about and do in public and not be sorry about it, and I want other people to also feel that way,” she adds.
Will Pearson, President of iHeartPodcasts, said in a statement that “actively cultivating a lifestyle that is focused on positive mental health and wellbeing is more important than ever,” and believes A Really Good Cry will offer that to listeners.
“With our scale and reach, we hope ‘A Really Good Cry’ will help listeners around the world find the comfort and inspiration they need to help navigate the internal challenges they may be facing and find their happiness,” Pearson said in the news release.

Devlukia was born and raised in the United Kingdom and many of the traditions she grew up following from her Indian culture “played a significant role” in her early interest in wellness.
Now, she’s a “modern-day advocate for holistic well-being” and has gained millions of followers with her content.
Devlukia is also known for her marriage to fellow podcast host Jay Shetty.
She tells PEOPLE her husband will appear on the podcast to talk about his life, living with integrity and going through life with purpose. “I find I’ve seen a side to him that not many people get to,” Devlukia explains.
The first episode of A Really Good Cry will feature Mowry, who opens up “about some of her lowest moments” and “how she went from feeling like she’s just had no life left in her to being someone that’s filled with so much joy now,” according to Devlukia.
The two will discuss the work it took Mowry to reach her current emotional state, as well as “what it was like for her growing up as a child star and how that’s impacted her life,” among other topics.
“She’s an incredible guest,” Devlukia tells PEOPLE. “I wanted to start with her because I really think she embodies a lot of what I want the podcast to be.”
A Really Good Cry premieres April 23 on the iHeartRadio app and everywhere podcasts are heard.
