Spoiler alert: This article contains major spoilers for Season 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife.
Fox’s reality show Farmer Wants a Wife is a slightly different take on The Bachelor with hints of Yellowstone thrown into the mix. Four self-described farmers are hoping to find love in a big city way. Instead of looking inward to find out what they might be doing wrong, these cowboys are looking outward to women who are usually geographically unattainable.
That’s right, women are flocking to the country from the urban jungles of America to find a slower life and a sweeter husband in Farmer Wants a Wife. Naturally, some of the contestants won’t vibe with our rugged rodeo chaps. Here’s who went home on Farmer Wants a Wife (hopefully, the women were able to hail a cab, not a cow!)
Week 1: Who went home on ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’?
In Season 2, Episode 1, the men meet a bevy of women here to saddle their hearts. But at the end of the premiere, they have to narrow their respective rosters down to just five ladies.
Ty sends home both Allison Hozeska and Ashleigh Guich. However, his third eliminated contestant Christine Cosentino goes home on her own, citing a stressful and overwhelming environment.
Of the ladies here for Nathan, Destiny Freeman, Kiara Jones, and Lexie Jonier head home.
Nathan sends Emily Pellistri, Kandice Peterson, and Rachel Clanton home on night one.
And Brandon says goodbye to Britt Klocko, Madison Anderson, and Tayana Harrison.
Week 2: Who went home on ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’?
In Week 2 of Farmer Wants a Wife Season 2, things get a little more intense. Although host Jennifer Nettles lets the farmers know they can send one woman home if they don’t feel a spark, not everyone opts to end things with one of their ladies.
For Nathan, since Makenzie already went home on her own accord, he doesn’t send anyone else packing. Mitchell and Brandon also decline to end things with any of their respective farm guests.
However, Ty does choose to send Erin Sossamon home, though there seems to be a mutual lack of a connection.
Week 3: Who went home on ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’?
The third week of Farmer Wants a Wife Season 2 leaves off with a cliffhanger since not all of the guys make decisions about keeping or sending a lady packing. But during the group dates at the Clemson tailgating party, Brandon sits down with Brittany and admits to her that he doesn’t feel a strong connection with her. She feels the same way, for the most part, and she leaves the party to head home for good.
Week 4: Who went home on ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’?
Nathan takes Rachel on a solo date to get closer to her after she has doubts about their connection. But in the end, they both know they’re at different places in life, and Nathan sends Rachel home.
Brandon is the only other farmer who sends someone home. He breaks things off with Brooklyn because, to him, they are “not compatible.”
Week 5: Who went home on ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’?
Week 5 is not good for Brandon on Farmer Wants a Wife. After weeks of Reba being sure she was the one for him, she opts to leave, because she doesn’t believe they are soulmates and she doesn’t want to stand in the way of Brandon finding someone. Later, Annellyse says she was “really craving that one-on-one time” when she was overlooked for the solo date. And, ultimately, she doesn’t want to stand in the way of Brandon’s other connections.
Week 6: Who went home on ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’?
Both Mitchell and Ty narrow their ladies down to three each this week. After a lackluster date with Mitchell, Melanie decides it’s best if she goes home, and he agrees. Elsewhere, Ty and Amy discuss kids again, and he admits that he doesn’t know if he can see himself having more children. Since Amy wants a big family someday, they both agree that she should end her journey here.
Week 7: Who went home on ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’?
This week, we have a handful of threats from some of the ladies about leaving now that all four farmers brought someone back to their respective homes. But in the end, none of the women follow through. And in the seventh week, none of the Farmer Wants a Wife women go home.
Week 8: Who went home on ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’?
In Episode 7, Kristin confides in Nathan, expressing doubts about her ability to further open up to him, even if she were to secure the next solo date. She acknowledges that they’ve unintentionally placed themselves in more of a “friend zone.” Ultimately, she goes home.
Meanwhile, Brooke opts for a heart-to-heart with Ty, suggesting it might be time for him to send someone packing tonight. To her surprise, Ty decides that she’s the one to go home. They recognize their communication issues, with Ty emphasizing that he “ultimately” cannot sustain a relationship lacking effective communication.
