It is an unlikely friendship, but these mini piglets and puppies have found the perfect playmates in one another at a Michigan farm.
At just a few weeks old, and with boundless energy, the pups and pigs were more than happy to muck in together for a play date.
The interaction was part of an effort by the owner to introduce the youngsters to as many new species as possible.

The mini Juliana piglets, the smallest type of pig, are house trained and will be family pets, which makes socializing them at a young age essential to their happiness.
Just like the puppies they were play fighting with, the Michigan Mini Juliana Pigs are intelligent and sociable creatures that enjoy being surrounded by people and animals.
And, with a possible future career in search and rescue or protection, the play date was essential training for the puppies, bred by Vom Flussblick German Shepherds.
‘We raise our animals in the house with lots of socialization, including interaction with other species. There is a cat that likes to play with them all too,’ Kristin Bright told Mail Online.

The adorable piglets and fluffy puppies were pictured play fighting, snuggling and cavorting at home, with one ambitious piglet even trying to grab a drink of milk from the mother dog.
At the time the pictures were taken, the piglets were already five weeks old, and the puppies were just two and half weeks old.
They will continue to be playmates for the next few weeks, before the pups and pigs move to their new homes.
