However, despite their split, the actors remained good friends to the day with Galecki even claiming that he treasures his relationship with The Big Bang Theory co-star more than any of his previous relationships.

After meeting on the set of The Big Bang Theory, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco dated nearly for two years before they decided to break things off. In Jessica Radloff’s The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series, the actors reflected on the reason behind their split.
Galecki highlighted their differing preferences and lifestyles among some of the key factors that contributed to their split. The actor said, as per Vanity Fair,
I might be a bit more scrappy than Kaley. [Laughs] She’s a very elegant and fashion-minded person, and I learn a lot from her to this day.
He further stated,
She’ll tell me where to go for a drink in New York, and it’s this gorgeous, incredible place with these incredible mixologists and things like that, as opposed to my interests.
He also clarified that it wasn’t an issue with her tastes but rather their different approaches to life and experiences that led them apart. “We just had very different interests in what I think we wanted from our experience of life,” he said.

Despite their split in 2009, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco quickly resumed their friendship. In the interview for Jessica Radloff’s book, Galecki revealed that he treasures his friendship with Cuoco more than any other relationship he’s had.
But I adore the friends that we are. I think I might value my relationship with her more than any other previous relationship or relationship afterwards.
Discussing the complexities of keeping a romantic relationship private, he also reflected on the potential harm caused by some instances and privacy. Despite any potential negative consequences, he said that he never regretted his actions.
However, he emphasized the enduring significance of their bond, stating, “We continue to love one another, just in other ways.” Cuoco echoed his sentiments, sharing that they have continued to support each other.
“We’ve been so supportive of each other ever since. We adore each other,” she said during the interview. Following their split, the former couple also ensured that their personal dynamic did not impact the show in any possible way. They have since moved in their life and career.
