Grayson Chrisley’s all grown up!
On April 14, five days before his parents Todd and Julie Chrisley’s oral argument session, the 17-year-old shared photos on Instagram from his high school prom wearing a corsage that matched his date’s bouquet.
Referencing popular video game streamer Sketch, Grayson captioned the post, “Turn me into a rock that’s one expensive fossil.”
His older sister Savannah Chrisley left a comment full of pride and praise: “CAN WE REWIND TIME 😭😭,” the former Chrisley Knows Best star wrote. “I love you and I’m so proud of the young man that you are becoming ❤️ you are what every sister wishes she had as a brother.”
Since their parents’ imprisonment for tax and bank fraud, Savannah, 26, has taken primary guardianship of her younger brother and her niece Chloe, 11. (Chloe is the daughter of Kyle Chrisley, Savannah’s estranged brother, but Todd and Julie have since adopted her, and in turn, Savannah refers to her as her little sister.)
In June 2023, Savannah invited Grayson onto her Unlocked podcast to discuss the toll of visiting their parents in prison. While Savannah said she feels “renewed” after seeing Julie and Todd, Grayson expressed that flying back and forth for visitation has made him “bitter.”
“It’s also hard because they tell you you gotta live your life,” Grayson said, recalling that his parents told him, “‘You’re 17 years old. You can’t spend every weekend going.’”
He added, “And then when you don’t go, you still feel bad even though they said that — even though you know they understand.”
Todd, 55, and Julie, 51, were given a combined prison sentence of 19 years in November 2022 after being found guilty of a multimillion-dollar bank fraud and tax evasion scheme. Although the Chrisleys have begun an appeal process to overturn their conviction, they still reported to prison in January 2023.
The couple were not present for their April 19 hearing, but family members Grayson, Savannah, Chase Chrisley and Nanny Faye Chrisley attended the session, as well as Savannah’s boyfriend Robert Shiver.
During the hearing, the Chrisleys’ attorney, Alex Little, claimed that “the evidence suggested that the prosecutors here worked in concert with the witness.”

According to Savannah in November 2023, “only about 6 percent of cases that are submitted for oral arguments get accepted.” However, if the verdict doesn’t fall in the family’s favor, she said in her April 16 podcast episode that they “have other avenues to take.”
