Soldier Janna Berger had to relocate to a different city for her Advanced Individual Training. After being away from home for 8 months, she realized that she missed her loyal dog, Murphy, more than she missed her family.
As for Murphy, he was desolate and constantly longed to see his mom again. He would wait outside Janna’s room all day and silently dream about her return.
In this video, we see Janna returning to her home in Salem, Ohio. She immediately calls out to her dog, and Murphy comes running when he hears the familiar voice. But something is off with him.
He sees Janna in her soldier’s outfit for the first time and fails to recognize her as he had only seen her in civilian clothes before! He barks at her, and even runs off in the opposite direction, leaving Janna disappointed!
Murphy lingers from afar and watches Janna take her hat off. He lets out a loud bark when he realizes that she is the same person he has been waiting for all this time! The poor dog is overwhelmed with emotions, but his “delayed” reaction is just too precious! He runs to Janna like a good boy, and showers his mom with his overwhelming love!
Janna falls to the ground as she accepts her dog’s cuddles and kisses, and Murphy goes into zoomie-mode while embracing his favorite person in the world!
